    Description

The VS16K is a general purpose vacuum switch with a user adjustable set-point and small switching differential. This diaphragm operated vacuum switch is high vacuum compatible and corrosion resistant with all wetted parts made from stainless steel. A high current rating allows direct switching of loads without additional relays or external power supplies.
These units are like-new. They were installed onto systems which never got sold. We removed switches and other good parts for resale, so we can't really sell them as 'new' although they are virtually new and have less than one hour of use.  They have been sitting in a box in our warehouse for several years, so they are a bit dusty, etc. but guaranteed to work fine.
We have 16 ea. available, buy one or buy them all!

    Technology
The Edwards VS16K adjustable vacuum switch contains a pressure sensitive diaphragm which operates a non latching snap action microswitch. The switch can be used to operate an electrical circuit when the system pressure rises or falls through an operator-determined pressure set point between 30 and 1000 mbar.
The diaphragm is enclosed within the vacuum switch housing which is surrounded by atmospheric pressure and is coupled to the vacuum system by a NW16 Flange. The absolute switch point pressure will therefore vary by the same amount as the atmospheric pressure. This must be allowed for when
setting the switch point close to the low pressure
end of the range. The vacuum switch is factory set to operate at about 30 mbar on falling pressure.
