This special Anointing oil is made with Frankincense (Levona), Myrrh (Mor) and Cinammon, natural plant extracts that were valued since the dawn of history for their good fragrance and healing qualities. Frankincense and
Cinnamon
has aromatic, soothing scent,
great for meditation and spiritual relaxation,
combined with the Myrrh that has a stronger bitter-sweet scent, great for healing and has an up-lifting effect.
Myrrh is a resin from Commiphora Tree, a natural remedy in ancient times and commonly used today as a remedy for a variety of ailments, with a potent antioxidant activity (Hebrew - Mor). Frankincense is an aromatic resin obtained from trees of the genus Boswellia Frankincense trees. The frankicense Trees are able to grow in harsh environments and can grow directly out of solid rocks (Fankiscence also called Olibanumis, or Levona in Hebrew).
Anointing oil in the bible was used for consecration of the high priests, prophets and kings. Also for medicinal use, spiritual purification of the body and soul, preparation
for war and more.
Anointing expresses the sanctifying of the Holy Spirit.

Anointing oil
is prepared from oil alone or with the addition of flowers, fragrant herbs, gums, resins, seeds, spices and other botanicals. Some formulas were very simple and consisted of one active ingredient and olive oil, while other formulas were a complex mixture of ingredients. These unguent or ointments had distinct aromatic odours; herbal, medicinal, earthy, balsamic, spicy, or sweet aromas.
Anointing Oil in the Bible
The
holy anointing oil
(
Hebrew
: שמן המשיח
shemen ha-mishchah
, "oil of anointing") formed an integral part of the ordination of the
priesthood
and the
High Priest
as well as in the consecration of the articles of the
Tabernacle
(Exodus 30:26) and subsequent
temples in Jerusalem
. The primary purpose of
anointing
with the holy anointing oil was to cause the anointed persons or objects to become
qodesh
, or "most holy" (Exodus 30:29).
Originally, the oil was used exclusively for the priests and the Tabernacle articles but was later extended to include prophets and kings (I Samuel 10:1). It was forbidden to be used on an outsider (Exodus 30:33) or to be used on the body of any common persons (Ex. 30:32a) and the
Israelites
were forbidden to duplicate any like it for themselves (Ex. 30:32b).
In
Mark 6:13
, the disciples anoint the sick and heal them. In
Mark 14:3-9
, Mary anoints Jesus' feet as an act of worship. In
James 5:14
, the church elders anoint the sick with oil for healing. In
Hebrews 1:8-9
, God says to Christ as He returns triumphantly to heaven, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever," and God anoints Jesus "with the oil of gladness."
