Includes full set of quality test certificates for each set of measuring anvils (4 certificates in total). See photos. Model #: 209-363 5.2-7.2” measuring range — using interchangeable contact points which are included in set. The range of the gauge itself is 0.8” 0.0005″ resolution 3.3″ Max. Measuring Depth NOTE — This is a comparator gauge and not a direct reading gauge . It must be used in conjunction with a micrometer, caliper, or setting ring. The dial does not show the absolute distance between the contact points, but rather, a relative reading in relation to whereever you 0 set the gauge. For example, if you zero set the gauge to 4” using a setting ring / micrometer / caliper, then the gauge will show the deviation from 4” when it is used on the test piece. Caliper is spring loaded and makes point contact measuring pressure.
