At long last, the 3 inch Upscale QCC Explorer is here! With over a year in development and multiple test builds and flights this rocket kit is finally ready for delivery. And, boy, is it worth the wait! The QCC Explorer is our most complex kit yet with 50 individual plywood parts, 3 body tubes, 2 couplers, 29mm motor tube, 3D printed nozzle & blow molded nose cone. This kit builds a magnificent, 2 times upscale of the classic QCC explorer. At over 60” tall, 3 inches in diameter, Level One capable, and between 3 and 4 pounds lift-off weight, this rocket is a beast! Six pages of step-by-step, photo-illustrated, instructions walk you through the assembly of this kit and give recommendations for painting and flying your rocket. I cannot stress enough that this is not a kit for beginners. This is a complex build that will reward you for taking your time and going step-by-step. Even rocketeers that never read the instructions read through these before starting this build. This is a high-power capable rocket that has been successfully flown on H motors. It is highly recommended that you be minimum Level One certified to fly this rocket. This kit does not include decals. There are excellent decals available from Stickershock and CF Fluid Art. Both of these decal sets have been tested on this kit and both fit and worked beautifully. In addition, you can order the decals in a variety of colors so that you can paint the QCC your way. This kit does not include a parachute, rail buttons, a recovery harness, or motor retention so that you can choose the parts that are right for your situation and equipment. Our 3” baffle set and bulkhead set fit this rocket and it has 6” couplers so you can scratch build your own AV bay (Not included). Also, you can get 3D printed AV bays from Sky Dancer Rocketry that fit this rocket. Thank you for waiting for us to get this rocket dialed in. We are really looking forward to seeing these flying! https://youtu.be/FlVlOynya20 Thanks for looking.
